A tall, narrow Chinese-style lacquered cabinet finished in black lacquer with warm gilt pinstripe banding throughout. The upper section features a single hinged door with a deeply carved hardwood openwork fretwork panel displaying interlocking ruyi scrolls and geometric diaper patterns, flanked by decorative brass hinges; the lower section contains a column of six to seven small drawers, each fitted with a charming cast-brass butterfly pull. The piece is consistent with Chinese export furniture produced for the Western market in the 1970s–1980s, reflecting traditional Shanxi or Guangdong workshop aesthetics without the construction hallmarks of genuine Qing-dynasty antique manufacture.
