A cylindrical Chinese export porcelain umbrella stand decorated in the Rose Medallion (Famille Rose) tradition, featuring alternating cartouches of court figures in garden pavilion settings and dense arrangements of peonies, birds, and butterflies on a white ground with gilt-trimmed rim. The overall decoration covers the entire exterior surface in the characteristic densely packed polychrome enamel palette of pink, green, red, and gold associated with Canton/Rose Medallion export wares. Based on the painting style, body weight, and decoration density, this piece is consistent with 20th-century Hong Kong or mainland Chinese export production rather than 19th-century antique manufacture.
