This lot comprises two decorative wall chargers displayed as a coordinated pair. The first is an Italian majolica charger featuring a polychrome blue, ochre, and green arabesque floral design on a white tin-glazed earthenware body with a broad cobalt blue rim, consistent with mid-20th century Deruta or similar Umbrian production. The second is a Japanese Imari-style porcelain charger decorated in the classic palette of underglaze cobalt blue, iron-red, and gilt with alternating panels of peonies and foliate motifs, typical of post-WWII Japanese export production marketed to Western decorative tastes. Both plates are mounted on modern plate hangers and show no visible chips or cracks in the photographs.
