The work is signed 'RC Gorman' in the lower left and dated 1978, with an additional cursive signature ('RC Gorma—') appearing in the upper right, consistent with Gorman's typical dual-signing practice on works intended for reproduction or gallery distribution. Gorman was one of the most commercially successful Native American artists of the 20th century, celebrated internationally for his sensuous, sinuous figurative drawings and lithographs rooted in Navajo tradition.
