A compact Chinese elmwood side cabinet in the Ming tradition, featuring a single long drawer with a central keyhole escutcheon flanked by bat-wing bail pulls, above a pair of double-panel doors secured by an iron circular medallion lock plate with a decorative tassel. The honey-warm elmwood finish shows attractive grain character with a carved apron at the base and straight square-section legs. The overall form is clean and rectilinear, consistent with either a quality late-20th-century reproduction from mainland China or a mid-century provincial piece, likely used as a bedside or scholar's cabinet.
